What an amazing day the Grade 6 students and myself, together with Mr McCrae and his students from Katunga South had on Monday. The Youth Leadership conference is such a worthwhile experience for our students and offers some exceptional leadership opportunities to our students. As Mr McCrae and I were listening to the speakers with our students we commented on how much we also were gaining from the speakers. The line up of speakers included John Brumby, Drew Ginn OAM, Catriona Rowntree from Channel 9, and a number of others. Our students were amazingly behaved, as usual and despite the early start (just after 5am for some of us) it was a fantastic day!!                       

Our footy tipping is starting so have it in time to start reading up on the ‘form’ of your team. This year we have had a chat and decided to have 3 fees options for entry. Primary School Students $3, Adults $5, and Families $8. This will allow those ‘competitive’ soles to enter individually, whilst letting us less footy orientated people have the support of a ‘family’. As with last year, it is 1 off payment (not weekly) and all money collected goes to the prize pool. If you have any questions please contact either Steve or Jo Ash as they will again be running the comp, and we encourage you the put the work out further afield as we would welcome people from the Invergordon community to be a part of the tipping comp by calling into the office.
